Our client is currently seeking to recruit an experienced Buyer, CIPS qualified would be desirable and advantageous. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly professional organisation who have a turnover of around £35m. As the organisation rapidly to continue to grow , they need to ensure that it continues to be support the company’s objectives through availability of product and management of inventory to achieve company objectives. The company purchases approximately 15k product lines per year with an annual spend of £18m. Main duties.. • Management of spend of approx £5m through 200 UK & global suppliers and 5000 product lines • Deliver cost reduction initiatives, delivering sustainable gross margin improvements through negotiation and resourcing of product to low cost countries • Support the material controllers in achieving 95% availability of products, ensuring timely delivery • Management of existing suppliers through performance • Sourcing of new suppliers through trade show, trade journals & networking Skills • It is essential that Purchasing experience gained within a fast moving environment • Degree or equivalent in Business Management • Good technical skills including the use of Excel & Access • Excellent interpersonal & negotiation skills • With the ability to work closely with and to influence others PLEASE FORWARD YOUR CV AS A WORD DOCUMENT DK Associates Ltd are acting as an employment agency.
